A woman was arrested after two children ate a candy-looking substance which turned out to be cocaine.
A 9-year-old was sent to a hospital after suffering convulsions, seizures and, at times, losing consciousness. Tests revealed there was cocaine in the child’s system.
The child told detectives he found a “rock like” substance in the bathroom and ate it.
Investigators tested two other children in the same household. An 11-year-old also tested positive to cocaine after spotting a pill/candy-looking substance on a dresser and swallowing it.
The younger child told detectives he saw another household member, Kimberly Losurdo, 45, snorting, ingesting and smoking illegal drugs.
The child is expected to recover.
Losurdo has been charged with two counts of child abuse.
